AF532 - Dioptase sold
Tantara Mine, Shinkolobwe, Katanga, Congo
Cabinet - 10 x 5 x 5 cm
Large Dioptase specimen with some of the crystals coated with a grey secondary mineral. Other than the grey mineral, this is a heavy specimen of nothing but solid Dioptase, the most Dioptase in one specimen I've ever held in my hand. Additionally, the crystals are big reaching 1.8cm in length, and the specimen is nearly a complete floater with just on area of contact on the backside. An oblong egg shaped piece with a central crystal lined cavity.

Mirror lustrous pair of Carrollite crystals with especially smooth faces devoid of striations. This is a floater with the backside having a satiny, irregular surface but covered by small crystal faces.

AF548 - Dioptase sold
Tantara Mine, Shinkolobwe, Katanga, Congo
Small Cabinet - 6 x 4.5 x 4 cm
Large Dioptase crystals lining a vug in a hard brown rock matrix. It's hard to capture the great color and luster of these specimens, but I assure you this is better in person than the photos portray. The brown matirx is unusual and provides great contrast for the emerald green Dioptase crystals. Valued at $350.
