TZ227 - Tsavorite sold
Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania
Thumbnail - 2.5 x 2 x 2 cm
Large single crystal with areas of transparency and bright, glassy luster. There is damage in a few areas on the edges, but interestingly this one was nearly a floater as both the top and bottom faces are present and smooth and glassy (usually the bottom face is either covered in graphite or shows indentations from graphite crystals). Big and green with big glassy faces. Black Graphite inclusing inside near one face.
TZ228 - Tsavorite sold
Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania
Thumbnail - 2.0 x 1.5 x 1.2 cm
Rare cluster of Tsavorite crystals in a floater group (no points of attachment). This is from a couple of great pockets found in mid 2013 that produced a good number of Tsavorite crystals with exception luster, including a small handful of clusters, which are uncommon. Aside from one cluster priced in the five figure range, this is the best cluster I've seen from the find.
TZ229 - Tsavorite sold
Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania
Thumbnail - 1.4 x 1.1 x 0.9 cm
Floater single crystal of Tsavorite. This was the best complete single crystal out of hundreds I examined from the recent finds of mid 2013. Great luster and transparency with some Graphite inclusions. Under a loupe I can find two tiny dings on edges, otherwise perfect.

Thumbnail - 2.9 x 0.8 x 0.6 cm
Vivid green chrome/vanadium Dravite crystal with a highly unusual colorless (achroite) termination. Complete and undamaged, remarkable specimen.
