Garnet Hill Mine November 25, 2013 · 7 specimens Garnet Hill is a well known locality that has produced Epidote and Andradite specimens since the 1920s. The prize specimens are the large, well formed Epidote crystals and extremely rare psuedomorphs. The locality is also known for abundant Andradite of moderate quality. It is the different types of replacements of Quartz and Epidote after Andradite that collectors fail to notice, some with hollow casts in complete dodecahedral form. This batch focuses on such psuedomorphs and includes a variety of great examples. |
