Gemmy, tabular Azurite crystals to 1.4cm that contrast well against a white Dickite coated matrix. This specimen is from what is known as the Chiclet Pocket, named for the size and shape of the crystals which can resemble Chiclet gum. The superb blue and transparency are evident when held under lighting (last photo is backlit). The strong color and contrast of specimens from this pocket make them coveted by collectors. Specimen comes mounted on a lucite stand.

Superb electric blue Azurite crystals on matrix. This is from the watercourse pocket (also called the elegant pocket or spiderweb pocket) that was opened in 2013 and is an uncommon style for the pocket in that it has the typical intergrown cluster of top quality crystals but is attached to a flat piece of matrix. The light colored matrix with green and black spots really sets off the blue of the Azurite. Although this was mined in 2013 it only made its way north of the border in late 2014 having been stashed away by a miner. Undamaged and superb, this one really has it.

Unusual specimen composed of a clsuter of elongated crystals of Malachite after Azurite with Azurite and Chalcocite on the tips. This is a new find from late 2014 and there were only 8 specimens in the lot I saw, this one being the best of them by a good measure. The color of the Azurite is nothing short of spectacular, looking like irridescent blue paint. A highly unusual specimen and a must for a Milpillas collector.

Single, terminated Azurite crystal on velvety, botryoidal Malachite. The Azurite is 1.5cm long. Specimens such as this are uncommon from Milpillas and are highly attractive.

Superb electric blue Azurite crystals with a few stringers of Malachite on one side. This is from the watercourse pocket (also called the elegant pocket or spiderweb pocket) that was opened in 2013. Superb electric blue Azurite crystals with a few stringers of Malachite on one side. This is from the watercourse pocket (also called the elegant pocket or spiderweb pocket) that was opened in 2013. Nearly a floater cluster (there is contacting on a few of the bottom of a few of the lower crystals) composed of intergrown crystals to 1.9cm in size. Although this was mined in 2013 it only made its way north of the border in late 2014 having been stashed away by a miner. Undamaged and superb.

Single thick, chisel terminated 2.1cm Azurite crystal on matrix. Slight chatter along one edge, otherwise undamaged. Great luster and form and strong color.

Superb electric blue Azurite crystals with a minor amount of Malachite. This is from the watercourse pocket (also called the elegant pocket or spiderweb pocket) that was opened in 2013. A near floater cluster (one of the smallest crystals shows a contact where it grew against matrix) composed of intergrown crystals to 2.2cm in size. Although this was mined in 2013 it only made its way north of the border in late 2014 having been stashed away by a miner. Backside has one small broken off crystal, otherwise undamaged and superb. A beauty!

Azurite crystal cluster composed a large 3.4cm crystal and one smaller crystal. Undamaged.

Sharp form, electric blue color, and wet luster make this Azurite crystal cluster very fine in quality. Undamaged with the main crystal 1.5cm tall.
