B797 - Hematite sold
Casa de Pedra Mine, Congonhas do Campro, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Miniature - 5 x 3.5 x 2.8 cm
Old specimen of psuedo cubic Hematite. Main crystal is 1.6cm across (on diagonal). Old label indicates it was a rare find in 1962, valued at $20 at the time. The old label indicates this was found in 'Goyoz', which refers to the state currently spelled Goias, but I believe the correct locality is Casa de Pedra. Uncommon.
