LL209 - Wulfenite, Mimetite sold
San Francisco Mine, Sonora, Mexico
Miniature - 5 x 3.2 x 2.5 cm
Transparent Wulfenite crystals with bright red/orange Mimetite crystals attached. This is a contemporary classic Wulfenite from the series of pockets found in 1972-1974 that are considered the finest Wulfenites to ever come from the San Francisco mine. The main crystal in this specimen is more stout than the typical more fragile crystals from the mine. Color is mind blowing! Has a small plastic stand attached to the back to hold it upright for display.
LL206 - Quartz (pseudocubic!) sold
Minas Gerais, Brazil
Small Cabinet - 8.5 x 6.5 x 4 cm
Cluster of lustrous smoky Quartz crystals (old labels refer to them as 'Crocodile Quartz'), with one crystal of the rare pseudocubic habit. The pseudocubic crystal is 3cm.
LL256 - Limonite after Pyrite on Feldspar, Quartz sold
Nevada, USA
Small Cabinet - 6.5 x 6 x 4 cm
A 2.5 cm wide cluster of Limonite after Pyrite crystals on a typical pegmatitic mound of Feldspar and Smoky Quartz crystals. Out of an old collection with no further locality information. Unusual.
LL504 - Liroconite sold
Wheal Gorland, St. Day, Cornwall, England
Miniature - 4 x 4 x 3 cm
Thick layer of Chrysocolla (?) wrapping around Quartz upon which grow numerous pristine Liroconite crystals. The Liroconite reach 6mm in size and are present on both the top and bottom of specimen and are of the less common blue/green color. From the type locality for the species, likely found in the mid 1800s. Despite it's age and there being dozens (a hundred?) crystals, I can find no damage.
