P398 - Calcite on Amethyst sold
Guanajuato, Mexico
Small Cabinet - 8 x 7 x 4.0 cm
Mound-shaped cluster of rich purple Amethyst crystals from old finds in Zacatecas. Small spheres of white Calcite are preferentially coated on areas of the Amethyst, and also cover the bottom of the specimen (the Amethyst detached after formation and was later coated by the Calcite). Undamaged piece from the Don Boydston collection, acquired from John Seibel about 25 years ago.
P400 - Covellite on Pyrite sold
Butte, Silver Bow Co., Montana, USA
Small Cabinet - 8.5 x 5 x 3 cm
Iridescent blue Covellite crystals on Pyrite crystals with a transparent Quartz crystal to add ever more flair. The Covellite form thin, bladed crystals and the color combination between the Covellite and Pyrite make this one heck of a showy Butte specimen. Ex. Randy Parnagian collection.
P401 - Scheelite on Quartz $950 available
Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China
Miniature - 3.3 x 2.1 x 1.8 cm
Jewel-like, transparent Quartz crystal with attached Scheelite octahedrons. This is a complete undamaged floater well crystallized on all sides. The Scheelite reach 1.3cm in size. This is an excellent example from this prolific mine that I've owned for over 20 years, acquired from the Carl Acosta collection.

P405 - Tanzanite sold
Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania
Thumbnail - 1 x 0.6 x 0.4 cm
Two connected, parallel-grown, gemmy pink Tanzanite crystals. Though small, it has excellent form, transparency, and the color is a good pink. Undamaged and gem-like.
P406 - Tanzanite sold
Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania
Thumbnail - 1.1 x 0.7 x 0.5 cm
Single, gemmy fancy-colored Tanzanite crystal. This is an unusual color in my experience, with the front face showing a colorless center with pink edges and blue near the base. When viewed from the side, it's almost colorless. It's pink to yellow down the top (C-axis). Undamaged and water-clear.
P407 - Rhodochrosite sold
N'Chwanning Mine, Kuruman, South Africa
Thumbnail - 1.5 x 1.1 x 1.1 cm
Cluster of gemmy cherry-red Rhodochrosite crystals. An uncommon pineapple-shaped cluster that is circular in form when looking down on it from the top. Internally, it's looks transparent enough to facet into a gem. Some tip cleavages but overall in good condition. Ex. Tim Sherburn collection with label.
P408 - Azurite with Brochantite $650 available
Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico
Thumbnail - 3 x 2.5 x 1.8 cm
P409 - 'Spotted' Quartz sold
Orange River, Namibia
Small Cabinet - 7.5 x 2.8 x 2.2 cm
Scepter-like Quartz with an unusual spotted appearance. The outer layer of Quartz is colored red by Hematite and the lower portions were etched away leaving a red termination and scepter-like appearance. The red area is part dull maroon with lustrous lighter red spots. I got this from Marshall Sussman back in 2013 when most of the red and orange Hematite-included Quartz crystals were being found, and only a couple had this spotted appearance. Complete all around and undamaged.
