Titanite (Sphene) Titanite (Sphene) Titanite (Sphene) Titanite (Sphene)

Impressive, large twinned gemmy, lustrous Sphene (Titanite) crystal from Capelinha, Brazil. Large crystals of this size are hard to find. The crystal is 8.5cm tall and has areas of both transluceny and transparency. Very interesting growth features are present on one side, with smaller Sphene crystals and Epidote attached to the other side. Complete all around crystal with a couple edge chips that keep the price way down. Old label indicates it was purchased for $400 back in 2001.

Here's something I've never seen before (!), a 2cm doubly-terminated Stilbite, translcuent and golden, set on Amethyst crystals. The specimen is solid Amethyst with an interesting dimpled textured outer surface. Ex. William Metropolis collection whose old label notes it was from the 'great slide of 1967'.

Miniature - 3.3 x 3.1 x 1 cm

Hambergite Hambergite Hambergite

Single well terminated Hambergite crystal from Tajikistan. One my favorite Hambergites I've owned due to the robust size, smooth termination, and uncommon purple coloration in areas. Additionally, part of the back face shows reticulated twinning growth, similar to Cerussite. Ex. Herb Obodda personal collection No. 2900 with label.
