Holley Blue Agate ps. Calcite
available$350
Rare pseudomorph specimen with rows of Calcite crystals to about 3.5cm size, all standing on edge, that have been replaced by blue agate. Blue agate from Holley typically occurs as banded agate and is prized for both lapidary use and as specimens. Besides banded agate, small numbers of pseudomorphs after Calcite crystals were also found. The bottom (or one edge depending on orientation) shows that some or all of these are hollow. The deposit is on corporate timber land and no longer accessible.
