Classic double-terminated, water-clear Quartz crystal known as a 'Herkimer Diamond'. So called because of their clarity and shape, these crystals are found at various localities in Herkimer Co. and occur in small cavities in dolostone rock. This crystal is complete and undamaged though it has some contact from the rock matrix and indents from other Quartz crystals.
