Spessartine from Nani, Loliondo, Arusha Region, Tanzania

Mostly complete orange Spessartine with good translucency and areas of internal transparency. This is a crystal I put aside years ago for it's potential for faceting. I have cut some of them before with great results, yielding some beautiful large gemstones. I'm not a gem cutter and can't estimate what this might cut, but I will say the ones I have cut yielded more than I would have expected. Some areas of black inclusions but many areas of gem, bright citrus orange. Weighs 195 carats (a cursory web search shows these gems selling for $250-$1000 per carat).
