Vuggy specimen of bright yellow cadmium Smithsonite and purple Fluorite. Botryoidal, satiny Smithsonite is present in open vugs all around the specimen. The Sheshodonnell East Mine is a small former zinc mine that was worked in about 1862-63 (per MINDAT). The miners were lookng for the sphalerite and the smithsonite was placed in the dumps, and collected about 100 years later. Ex. Tim Sherburn collection.
