Classic California specimen of black Neptunite crystals on schist matrix. Lustrous black crystals of Neptunite are present associated with white Natrolite. While Benitoite is best known from this defunct locality, Neptunite also reached it's zenith here, the world's best of species. Embedded in the Natrolite are spherical, radial sprays of black Aegerine crystals. The Neptunite crystal reach 2cm in size. This specimen was recently etched from some of the last remaining mine rough and has never been offered for sale before. The mine is closed so get some now - once it's gone it's gone.
