A somewhat matched pair of Silver and Gold specimens that looked so nice together I decied to sell them as a pair. The Gold is a bright golden metallic wire from the Yukon, 3cm tall. The wire has folded over itself on one end creating a 'J' form. Wire gold is an exceptionally rare, natural form of gold. True wire Gold (unlike elongated spinel twins) show striations along the length of the wire, as is very evident in this specimen. Weighs 1.29 grams. The Silver is from the Elura Mine in Australia and is 2.5cm tall. It forms an aesthetic, curved wire-like specimen that is actually an elongated spinel-twinned crystal with smaller attached side crystals.
