A surprise of Tucson 2026 was a small lot of green Tanzanite (Zoisite) from Merelani. Green is one of the rarest colors to find in Tanzanite and I was happy to select from this lot of about 30 crystals, the majority of which were not terminated. The has flat termination faces and is translucent with areas of transparency. The color is amazing with green, blue green, and and a vivid teal blue/green depending on orientation. Well crystallized all around and undamaged. Weighs 2.26 grams.
