J397 - Prehnite $ 350 (=~ £ 252) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 3.5 x 3.2 x 2.7 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Merelani Prehnite is considered by many, including me, to be the best in the world, and what has been produced in the last year or two has been the best. This beautiful specimen is a perfect example of this quality. Large translucent crystals with good yellow color in a somewhat flower-like rosette formation. It ahs some contact/rough areas along the rear right side but can be displayed showing nothing but fat, juicy yellow crystals.
J334 - Hematite Rio La Marina, Elba, Italy small cabinet - 6 x 4 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Crystals of irridescent Hematite associated with Pyrite. Colorful sheens of reds and greens play across the surface of the crystals. Comes with an old Lawrence Conklin label.
J403 - Tourmaline $ 140 (=~ £ 101) Tsarafara, Ibity, Antsirabe, Madagascar thumbnail - 1.9 x 1.1 x 1 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Complete single Tourmaline crystal (likely Liddicoatite) with a transparent green base and a bright pink termination. Slight edge wear otherwise undamaged. Weighs 4.2 grams.
J330 - Augelite Machacamarca Mine, Colavi, Potosi Dept., Bolivia small cabinet - 9 x 6 x 2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Lustrous and sharp Augelite crystals well dispersed across the flat surface. Associated with Quartz and Pyrite. Undamaged.
J382 - Fluorite and Quartz on Hematite $ 300 (=~ £ 216) Egremont, Cumbria, England miniature - 5 x 4.5 x 2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Red Hematite matrix with typical black Hematite crystals (both sides) and Quartz crystals (one side). What is uncommon is the presence of Fluorite crystals which occur as transparent cubes of about 3mm.

J386 - Azurite with Malachite $ 280 (=~ £ 201) Liufengshan Mine, Anhui Province, China small cabinet - 9 x 5 x 5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Highly lustrous Azurite crystals, some partially psuedomorphed to Malachite. Besides the main coverage of crystals on top, there are also many vugs of crystals on the sides and bottom. Undamaged old specimen, with old collection number attached to the bottom.
J387 - Calcite, Galena on Sphalerite $ 275 (=~ £ 198) Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Tennessee, USA small cabinet - 7 x 5.5 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Double-terminated twinned Calcite crystal intergrown with highly lustrous Galena crystals all atop Sphalerite. There are some cleavage faces on one termination of the Calcite, but also nice pointed ends that make it not as noticable. The Galena cubes reach 2cm in size and the combination makes for an attractive specimen good when viewed from any angle.
J390 - Apatite on Feldspar $ 250 (=~ £ 180) Skardu, Pakistan miniature - 5 x 5 x 2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pink Apatite crystals with black Tourmaline on a good crystal of white Feldspar. Undamaged.
J391 - Brookite in Quartz $ 150 (=~ £ 108) Kharan, Balochistan, Pakistan small cabinet - 5.5 x 3 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Sharp, water clear Quartz crystals included by Brookite crystals. The main Quartz crystal is double-terminated. The Brookite crystals have fine hair-like needles of Rutile extending off the crystal surfaces. Fine and undamaged, one of the better examples from this occurrence that I've seen.
J378 - Apophyllite on Stilbite $ 400 (=~ £ 288) Well No. 3, Ahmadnagar District, Maharashtra, India large cabinet - 17 x 10 x 6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Gemmy green clusters of Apophyllite on white Stilbite from the famous 'Well Pocket' find. The crystals have good transparency and are undamaged. Large, showy specimen.
J376 - Arsenopyrite with Quartz $ 750 (=~ £ 540) Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China cabinet - 13 x 10 x 7.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Lustrous metallic Arseonpyrite crystals with large Quartz crystals. This would be a great addition to a Yaogangxian or Chinese collection. Large, showy specimen.
J421 - Schorl with Feldspar Erongo Mountains, Namibia small cabinet - 6 x 5.5 x 5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 5cm Schorl crystal attached to twinned Feldspar crystals. The schorl has a great 6-faced termination and is undamaged. These are common enough but specimens like this in perfect condition that are complete floaters crystallized all around are much less so.
