LL537 - Rhodonite $ 450 San Martin Mine, Chiurucu, Huanuco, Peru thumbnail - 3 x 2.5 x 1.5 cm Platy crystal group of deep pink Rhodonite. Good large crystals from a 1989 find.
LL462 - Roselite $ 350 Bou Azzer District, Ouarzazate Province, Draa-Tafilalet, Morocco small cabinet - 5.5 x 5 x 3 cm Translucent deep purple/red Roselite crystals on Calcite crystals. Good coverage of relatively large crystals. Ex. Bob Reynolds collection and comes wtih an old Kristalle label.
LL417 - Ferberite with Fluorite $ 400 Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China small cabinet - 8 x 5.2 x 3.2 cm Large and hefty terminated single Ferberite crystal, complete all around. Thick and heavy with a small fluorite cube, Muscovite, and Calcite attached.
LL547 - Quartz var. Herkimer Diamond $ 350 Herkimer, New York, USA miniature - 4 x 3.5 x 3 cm Double-terminated, water-clear Quartz crystals. Main crystal is 3.3cm with 3 smaller crystals stacked on top. Undamaged.
LL460 - Spinel $ 500 Twin Lakes Limestone deposit, Lower Twin Lake, Twin Lakes, Fresno Co., California, USA small cabinet - 6.5 x 5.2 x 3 cm Well formed, translucent octahedrons of blue Spinel to 7mm in size associated with brown Pargasite crystals. Sawcut on back. Collected by Chuck Trantham and Al McGuinness in 1986. Chuck's label indicates locality as 'Locality 2, Twin Lakes area, Fresno Co., California, USA'.
LL418 - Malachite $ 125 Katanga, Congo (DRC) small cabinet - 7.3 x 6 x 0.6 cm Cut and polished slice of a Malachite stalactite with great color banding. Good polsih on both sides.
LL513 - Acanthite $ 350 Reyes Mine, Guanajuato, Mexico thumbnail - 2.6 x 2 x 1.5 cm Cubic, stepped crystal cluster of Acanthite, a Silver sulfide mineral famous from this mine. Undamaged and complete all around. Ex. Bob Reynolds collection.
LL489 - Whiteite $ 300 Rapid Creek, Yukon, Canada thumbnail - 2.8 x 2 x 1.8 cm Large, blocky single Whiteite crystal with a smaller crystal intergrown. Complete all around and undamaged. This is the best locality for this rare species and this is an excellent, large example. Ex. Bob Reynolds collection.
AU504 - Aquamarine, Schorl on Apatite $ 3000 Roundu Mine, Shigar Valley, Skardu District, Pakistan cabinet - 10 x 6.6 x 4 cm A large, glossy single pink Apatite crystal with attached Schorl and a gem Aquamarine crystal creating a colorful combination specimen from the famous Shigar Valley. The Apatite is large sized with gem areas and high luster. The Aquamarine is perfectly terminated, transparent and glass-like.
FM128 - Jeremejevite $ 225 Erongo Mtns., Namibia thumbnail - 1 x 0.3 x 0.3 cm Complete undamaged single Jeremejevite crystal from Namibia. Transparent blue and colorless. Ex. Trinity Minerals specimen.
FM129 - Zircon $ 120 Rweko, Nkasi District, Rukwa Region, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.4 x 0.8 x 0.8 cm Well crystallized single Zircon crystal from Tanzania. Complete all around and transparent.
LL594 - Fairfieldite $ 1500 Foote Lithia Mine, King's Mountain, North Carolina, USA cabinet - 14 x 7.5 x 5.5 cm Large specimen with a flat front display face loaded with Fairfieldite crystals to about 8mm. Fairfieldite is a rare phosphate mineral and when you can find one, they are usually small thumbnail sized specimens. This is a magnificent large display piece for the species. Ex. LL540 - Vanadinite $ 350 Old Yuma Mine, Pima Co., Arizona, USA miniature - 3.8 x 3 x 1.8 cm Cluster of large orange and red Vanadinite crystals partially coated by white Calcite. A floater with no points of attachment and large, hoppered crystals with intricate growth patterns. Undamaged. Ex. Bob Reynolds collection.
LL545 - Wulfenite $ 180 Harrington-Hickory Mine, Topache Peak, Beaver Co., Utah, USA thumbnail - 2.7 x 2 x 1.5 cm Lustrous, transparent to translucent, orange wulfenite 'window pane' crystals to 11mm on matrix. The wulfenites have beveled edges, luster, and good color. Ex. Bob Reynolds collection.
LL585 - Chalcophyllite $ 750 Copper Stope, Majuba Hill Mine, Pershing Co., Nevada, USA cabinet - 11 x 7 x 4.5 cm Platy green crystals are abundantly scattered in various areas over this uncommonly large Majuba Hill specimen. Chalcophyllite is an uncommon copper arsenate mineral and some of the world's best were found at this mine. This is a good large example. Ex. Bob Reynolds collection.
