C630 - Quartz with inclusions Que Phong, Nghe An Prov., Vietnam cabinet - 13.5 x 4.5 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Large, tapering Quartz crystal with interesting inclusions. The is one of the best, largest crystal from the one and only parcel I've ever seen of this material. The core is filled with hair-like crystals and green, yellow and red coloration. The outer zone is transparent to translucent. Complete and undamaged.
NMB - Barite with Fluorite $ 200 (=~ AUS$ 259) Mex Tex Mine, Bingham, New Mexico, USA small cabinet - 6.5 x 6 x 1 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large single Barite crystal, translucent to transparent. Perfectly terminated and complete all around. There is a Fluorite crystal intergrown on the right edge, and there is a small cleave on part of the edge, possibly caused by the growth of the Fluorite crystal, otherwise undamaged.

SM447 - Copper and Cuprite Cole Shaft, Bisbee, Cochise Co., Arizona, USA small cabinet - 9 x 8 x 6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large specimen of Copper and Cuprite. The surfaces are primariy showing Cuprite with small areas of Copper protruding out. An old label indicates it was found at the 26J Stope, 1300 Level of the Cole Shaft in 1967.
SM449 - Rhodochrosite with Fluorite $ 220 (=~ AUS$ 285) Sunnyside Mine, Silverton, Colorado, USA small cabinet - 5.9 x 4 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rhombic Rhodochrosite crystals to 1.5cm on a Quartz crystal covered matrix. In addition to the Rhodochrosite, there are a number of glassy, pale green Fluorite crystals to 1.5cm.
SM450 - Hemimorphite $ 150 (=~ AUS$ 194) Summit Mine, Broadwater Co., Montana, USA small cabinet - 7 x 6.5 x 5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Large open vug in matrix lined with Hemimorphite crystals to about 1cm in length. The Summit Mine produced what are likely the best USA Hemimorphites ever found. This is a fine example.
SM457 - Silver $ 200 (=~ AUS$ 259) Kongsberg, Buskerud, Norway (?) thumbnail - 1.7 x 1.7 x 1 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Thick Silver wires that curl up at each end. This came out of an old collection of thumbnails with no label. I was told that 'there were some Kongsberg Silvers in the collection'.
SM459 - Veszelyite $ 450 (=~ AUS$ 583) Laochang Mine, Gejiu Co., Yunnan Province, China cabinet - 10.5 x 8.0 x 6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sharp crystals of Veszelyite to 4mm on Hemimorphite lined vugs in matrix. There are vugs of crystals all over. Very rich sample. Veszelyite is a rare phosphate mineral only found in a few places worldwide as collectable mineral specimens. These specimens have only been found in the past few years and are one of the more interesting mineral surprises from China.
