Quartz from Democratic Republic of Congo [db_pics/pics/c439a.jpg] Quartz from Democratic Republic of Congo [db_pics/pics/c439b.jpg] Quartz from Democratic Republic of Congo [db_pics/pics/c439c.jpg]

New find of unusual smokey/citrine Quartz crystals from the Congo. I found this with one dealer at the 2018 Tucson show. There were perhaps a couple dozen available, this being the best and least damaged and the only one I purchased. It's complete all around and fully surrounded by the smaller side crystals.

Blue Azurite crystals atop a thin plate of Malachite. Despite the tons of Malachite that pour out of Katanga every year, Azurite from the Congo remains rare. Good blocky crystals to 1.5cm that contrast well against the Malachite.
