C439 - Quartz $ 325 Democratic Republic of Congo cabinet - 9.5 x 7 x 5.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() New find of unusual smokey/citrine Quartz crystals from the Congo. I found this with one dealer at the 2018 Tucson show. There were perhaps a couple dozen available, this being the best and least damaged and the only one I purchased. It's complete all around and fully surrounded by the smaller side crystals.
C441 - Azurite on Malachite $ 425 Katanga, Congo (DRC) small cabinet - 6 x 5 x 2 cm ![]() ![]() Blue Azurite crystals atop a thin plate of Malachite. Despite the tons of Malachite that pour out of Katanga every year, Azurite from the Congo remains rare. Good blocky crystals to 1.5cm that contrast well against the Malachite.

C445 - Galena with Sphalerite 9th of September Mine, Madan, Bulgaria small cabinet - 7 x 5.5 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() New find of skeletal Galena from the 9th of September Mine. This is true skeletal Galena (not the manufactured specimens from about 10 years ago), only the second time in 20 years that they have been found. Black Sphalerite crystals are intergrown with the Galena. Undamaged floater specimen crystallized all around.
C446 - Brochantite $ 450 Morocco small cabinet - 8.5 x 6 x 3 cm ex. Bruce Murphy ![]() ![]() ![]() Old specimen from the Bruce Murphy collection composed of nothing but Brochantite crystals. This was a rare specimen when Bruce acquired it, and I've not seen much Brochantite specimens from Morocco since. Bright emerald green crystals everywhere. This is likely from the Bou Bekker Mine.
C447 - Cobaltian Calcite $ 450 Mashamaba West Mine, Katanga, Congo miniature - 4 x 3.3 x 2 cm ![]() ![]() 'Hot pink' crystals of Cobaltian Calcite on matrix. This is old stock from Gilbert Gauthier. Translucent to transparent crystals to 1cm. Undamaged, hard to find classic with top color.
C448 - Hausmanite with Calcite, Ettringite $ 200 N'Chwanning Mine, Kuruman, South Africa small cabinet - 5.5 x 4 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Brilliantly lustrous black Hausmanite crystals grown around a cluster of transparent Calcite crystals and yellow Ettringite.
C449 - Galena (spinel twin) $ 280 Nikolaevskiy Mine, Dal'negorsk, Russia miniature - 5 x 3.5 x 1.0 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Flat tabular spinel-twinned Galena crystal. Undamaged with bright silvery luster. The front is nothing but brigth Galena, the backside is partially covered by small Quartz crystals and Calcite.
C450 - Vanadinite $ 80 Puzzler Mine, Yuma Co, Arizona, USA miniature - 4 x 3 x 2 cm ex. Bruce Murphy ![]() ![]() Specimen of curving, olive green Vanadinite crystals over a quartz matrix. Good crystals on all sides.
F280 - Mangano Calcite on Pyrite $ 50 Huanzala Mine, Peru small cabinet - 9 x 6.5 x 6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Specimen of solid Pyrite crystals with partial coverage of pink Mangano Calcite. Good crystals all around, bright and colorful. Comes with an old Rocksmiths label showing an old price of $30 (I'm guessing from the 1980s).
C455 - Apophyllite with Stilbite $ 350 Maharashtra State, India small cabinet - 9 x 6 x 5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Aesthetic formation of yellow Apophyllite and pink Stilbite crystals. The crystals grew around a Quartz stalactite so it's perfectly crystallized all around, and the only 'contact' is the tiny 3mm end of the stalactite that can be seen at the very bottom. The largest Apop is 4.3cm across. A gorgeous, undamaged specimen.
C456 - Quartz $ 1250 Goboboseb Mtns., Brandberg Region, Namibia cabinet - 11 x 8.5 x 8 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Matrix Quartz specimen featuring a stunning 6cm transparent crystal rising out of a Quartz and Calcite crystal lined vug. The crystal has a sharp smokey phantom and red Hematite inclusions. Perfect and undamaged. Flat, sawcut base.
C462 - Aquamarine $ 150 Erongo Mountains, Namibia thumbnail - 2.5 x 0.8 x 0.7 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Transparent blue Beryl from the Erongo finds. This one is unusual for the locality in that it is totally transparent and it's lightly etched. Complete and undamaged. Good luster too, better than photos.
