C520 - Cerussite $ 350 Daoping Mine, Yangshuo, Guangxi, China small cabinet - 5.9 x 4 x 1.8 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Reticulated Cerussite crystal from a limited (one time?) find in the Daoping Mine. An unusual coloration for Cerussite with yellows and pinks making rare and unique specimens. Front and back sides shown.
C521 - Malachite after Azurite $ 400 Tsumeb, Namibia thumbnail - 2.8 x 2.5 x 1 cm ![]() ![]() Exceptionally sharp and well formed single crystals of Azurite that has been psuedomorphed to Malachite, though a small amount of the original azurite remains at the termination. There is good 'bulls-eye' patterning in the Malachite on a termination face.
C524 - Andradite with Diopside $ 350 Gray Throne Claim, Graham Co., Arizona, USA miniature - 4.5 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Transluscent Andradite garnet crystals on Diopside. The Andradite crystals reach 9mm in size and are very sharply formed and transluscent amber colored. Fine quality specimen from a rare Arizona locality. Ex. Bruce Murphy collection.

C529 - Calcite with Barite $ 350 Minerva Mine, Cave-in-Rock, Hardin Co., Illinois, USA cabinet - 9.5 x 7 x 5.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Elongated Calcite crysals associated with sky blue Barite crystals. This is an old specimen and though there are a couple missing Calcite crystals, it's in great condition overall and the main Calcite crystals are perfect and 3cm tall. The only one like it I've ever owned, and I only find one similar on Mindat.
C530 - Hematite $ 2800 Minas Gerais, Brazil cabinet - 10 x 7.5 x 7 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large, chunky Hematite crystal with an uncommon psuedocubic form. Great luster with parallel surface striations. This is an old specimen from a collection dating back to the 60s and 70s. It came without precise locality information, but I suspect it is from the Casa de Pedra mine in Congonhas, Minas Gerais. It's complete all around with some indentations from other crystals on top near the back, but remarkably pristine with only a couple small nicks. Even the bottom is rehealed. Weighs 2 pounds and 14 ounces!
C531 - Grossular $ 490 Handan Pref., Hebei Prov., China small cabinet - 7.5 x 6.0 x 5.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is a large cluster of nothing but Grossular garnet crystals. The crystals are an amber/yellow color and transluscent to transparent. Average crystal size is about 5mm with some crystals approaching 1cm. A good sized cluster for the find. There are a few contacts but the majority is clean undamaged crystals. .
C533 - Stilbite $ 250 New South Wales, Australia cabinet - 9.5 x 8 x 4.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Isolated orange Stilbite crystals on a crystal coated matrix. Out of an old collection with specimen number affixed to the bottom.
C534 - Fluorite $ 850 Boltsburn Mine, Weardale, Durham, England small cabinet - 6.5 x 6 x 5.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Two interpenetrating transparent Fluorite cubes with rich purple color. In great condition with good luster. Main crystal is 6.2cm on the diagonal.
C539 - Barite $ 350 Les Malines, Saint-Laurent-le-Minier, Gard, Occitanie, France cabinet - 12.5 x 7 x 6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Snow-white Barite blades, with some amber colored, over a matrix coated by drusy Sphalerite.This is out of an old collection built in the 60s and 70s and no further locality information was available. Clean and undamaged, good from both sides.
C541 - Galena $ 400 Sweetwater Mine, Reynolds Co., Missouri cabinet - 10 x 9 x 7 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large cubes of lustrous Galena crystals, to 5.2cm on the diagonal, on matrix associated with Chalcopyrite and Calcite crystals. Such specimens with good large crystals on matrix are no longer common.
C547 - Pyrite after ? $ 240 Trepča Mine, Kosovska Mitrovica, Kosovo small cabinet - 7.5 x 5 x 4.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Elongated Pyrite groups that have replaced a previous mineral, possibly Calcite, on a matrix covered by Sphalerite. The base of one of the Pyrite crystal groups is visible and whatever was there before is all gone now - nothing but solid Pyrite. Bright, shiny luster and undamaged.
C551 - Ferberite with Quartz $ 325 Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China small cabinet - 8 x 7 x 4 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Well formed large Ferberite crystals associated wtih transparent Quartz crystals. There are also small purple Fluorite crystals, Muscovite, and Arsenopyrite present.
C552 - Quartz on Calcite (R) $ 175 Herkimer, New York, USA small cabinet - 5.5 x 3.5 x 3.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Outstanding 3.6cm 'Herkimer Diamond' Quartz crystal on Calcite. Quartz on Calcite are uncommon for the locality, unfortunatley this one came off the Calcite and has been reattached. The Quartz crystal is very transparent and bright, high quality (way better than photos). There is a smaller Quartz attached to the Calcite crystal too.
C553 - Turgite $ 300 Santa Eulalia, Chihuahua, Mexico cabinet - 12 x 10 x 5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Cluster of Highly irridescent specimen of Turgite. Turgite is a mixture of Hematite and Goethite and was originally described from the Turginsk Mine in Russia. Very colorful specimen with blues, greens, yellows and reds. Out of an old collection dating back to the 60s and 70s.
