These crystals are solid green and not bi-colors like last year. However the green is very rich and bright. Slight edge chipping otherwise complete and undamaged. This style of Tsavorite is new this year and there has been a fair production of it. A UK classic that is undamaged except for a couple places along the edges where it broke away from the host rock. The Quartz crystals are glassy and lustrous and, along with the bright metallic Hematite, give off lots of sparkle. T870 - Azurite $ 3500 (=~ CAN$ 0) Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 9 x 5.5 x 4.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cluster of large, partially etched Azurite crystals from Tsumeb. Fully crystallized all around, even part of the bottom is recrystallized! There is a small indentation showing Malachite on the lower front face (possibly damage, possibly natural), and the lower backside of the back crystal has some indentations/contact from another former Azurite crystal. Otherwise good all around. Complete all around with deep emerald green coloration in the upper half and a more olive green in the lower half. Fantastic color and mostly gem quality with just a few interanl veils. Undamaged. From a spectacular pocket opened in 2016. Weighs 3.1 grams.
