Transparent Quartz crystal with included Rutile. I liked this one because of the reddish colored Rutile and the fact the Rutile is vertically oriented within the Quartz.

Four sharp, well defined crystals of Azurite on a Limonite matrix. The crystals reach 1cm in size and are undamaged. Comes with an Arizon-Sonora Desert Museum label.

Glassy green Apatite crystals. The addition of purple Fluorite makes this a really colorful piece. Slight chipping on one edge, otherwise undamaged.

Showy cluster of glassy green Apatite crystals. Bright and lively crystals. Undamaged. The camera does not pick up the green well and the brightness is not well conveyed in photos, thus this is way better in person than the photos may indicate.

Open vug filled with large, double-terminated Smithsonite crystals. The Smithsonite are a light pinkish orange in color and reach 1.9cm in size.


T387 - Rhodochrosite $ 350

Twinned Rhodochrosite crystal, a floater with no points of attachment. The color is just outstanding. This was recently released from the Charlie Key collection and it is clear he saved some good ones. Previous twinned Mont St. Hilaire Rhodos I've seen have all been a darker brick red color and opaque. This one is bright red and translucent through most of the specimen. Undamaged. A small amount of minerals attached to one edge.

Twinned Rhodochrosite crystal group, a floater with no points of attachment. This was recently released from the Charlie Key collection and it is clear he saved some good ones. Single scalenohedral Calcite capped by Calcite also with Calcite crystals attached to the sides (one side crystal damaged). Originally purchased in Tucson in 1987 for $9.60.

Distinctive Quartz crystal cluster colored pink by inclusions of Montmorillonite. Comes with an old label that dates this back to at least 1985.

Perfect undamaged floater octahedron with bevelled edges. 0.9cm on edge, 1.2cm wide tip to tip.

Amazing example of a naturally bent Tourmaline crystal, caused by repeated fracturing and rehealing in the pegmatite pocket during formation. Double terminated (though one termination partially intergrown with Albite). Undamaged.
