T179 - Tourmaline $ 1500 Pederneira Mine, São José da Safira, Doce valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil miniature - 3.6 x 1.7 x 1.6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Classic large sized, complete and terminated 'watermelon' Tourmaline with a blue/green over red coloration. Slight chipping along termination edge, otherwise undamaged. Termination has a mirror bright luster, and but for the visible growth features you would swear it was polished. Weighs 21.7 grams.
T182 - Tourmaline $ 200 Paprok, Nuristan, Afghanistan thumbnail - 1.6 x 1.0 x 0.8 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Gemmy pink and green double-terminated Tourmaline crystal. Undamaged. Weighs 2.7 grams.
T193 - Quartz $ 250 Goboboseb Mountains, Brandberg Area, Namibia small cabinet - 7.3 x 2.5 x 2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Complete and terminated Quartz with both Amethyst and smokey coloration. There are also some attached small Analcime and Prehnite and included moving water bubbles. Top quality and undamaged except for one tiny 1-2mm edge nick.
T195 - Quartz $ 200 Goboboseb Mountains, Brandberg Area, Namibia small cabinet - 6.5 x 3 x 2 cm ![]() Complete and terminated Quartz with both Amethyst and smokey coloration with one included water bubble that can move about 1.5cm. Top quality and undamaged.
T198 - Vanadinite $ 280 Mibladen, Morocco small cabinet - 6.5 x 4.5 x 3.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Lustrous red Vanadanite crystals on matrix. Crystals reach 1.2cm wide and are thick. A couple of the crystals at the bottom along the edge are damaged, but all the others, the vast majority, are good. Bright, showy translucent red crystals.
T200 - Fluorite Guyang, Hunan Prov., China small cabinet - 5.5 x 5 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Stepped octahedral Fluorite crystals that are highly translucent with a beautiful green coloration. Undamaged.
T201 - Barite on Gaudefroyite $ 400 N'Chwanning Mine, Kuruman, South Africa small cabinet - 6 x 5 x 3.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Solid Gaudefroyite, with trace amount of red Andradite crystallized on both sides by Gaudyroyite crystals. Attached to the Gaudefroyite are white crystals of Barite that are frosted on the outside and more translucent on the inside
T202 - Sphene $ 200 San Quentin, Baja, Mexico thumbnail - 2.2 x 2 x 0.6 cm ![]() ![]() Old specimen of Sphene (Titanite) from the coastal Pacific town of San Quentin in northern Baja California. A floater single crystal that is gemmy and has great green color. Hard to find crystal, first one I've ever owned.

T225 - Cobaltian Calcite $ 1500 Mashamba West Mine, Katanga, Congo small cabinet - 8 x 7 x 4.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Old Mashamba West specimen with the large sized Cobaltian Calcite crystals, formerly from Gilbert Gauthier stock. There is one damaged crystal on the bottom edge, otherwise all are perfect. There are small black inclusions in the crystals, each having one or two. Old, hard to find specimen.
T229 - Stilbite $ 480 Ahmednagar, India cabinet - 15 x 10 x 6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Three perfect 'bow-tie' crystal groups of Stilbite rising up off the matrix. Stilbite bow-ties are ususally found flat on the matrix and to have 3 isolated groups that stand up on end like this creates a striking specimen. Undamaged.
T232 - Lazulite, Siderite, Apatite $ 3000 Rapid Creek, Yukon, Canada large cabinet - 20.5 x 13 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large flat piece of ironstone with front face loaded with crystals. Blue Lazulite, tan Siderite, and white Apatite. Many pieces only have the Lazulite and Siderite which can leave them darker in appearance. The numerous white Apatites lighten up this specimen, along with the well dispersed, isolated Lazulites. This is easily the best of a large lot of these I obtained over 15 years ago and I'm posting it now for the first time ever.
T240 - Barite $ 400 El'brusskiy Arsenic Mine, Elbrus Mt., Northern Caucasus Region, Russia miniature - 4.3 x 2.5 x 1.3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Gem quality golden brown crystal complete all around. In excellent condition for this locality, with only some minor edge chipping. Fully transparent internally, so much so you see right through it and some of what looks like inclusions in the photos are really just shadows from some irregular surface areas on the lower backside of the crystal.
T241 - Indicolite $ 2500 Pederniera Mine, Minas Gerais, Brazil small cabinet - 9 x 0.8 x 0.7 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Long single gem 'pencil' with a good termination at one end. Fully transparent for the entire crystal - gem facet rough quality. Undamaged.
T242 - Kunzite $ 500 Kunar Province, Afghanistan small cabinet - 8 x 2.2 x 2.1 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Transparent purple/yellow Kunzite crystal with a sharpness of form not typical for the species. Uniform prism faces and nice flat termination faces. The bottom has rehealed, so technically double terminated though the bottom faces are not as complete and nice as the top termination. One shallow chip on one edge, otherwise completely undamaged and very clean looking.
