SV514 - Gold $ 1500 (=~ € 1370) St. Patricks Pocket, Lecanvey Prospect, Croagh Patrick, Co. Mayo, Ireland miniature - 5 x 3.5 x 3 cm Abundant Gold and black sulfides in an open pocket of vuggy Quartz. Mined in April 2007 from the 'B' vein of the Lecanvey prospect. The mountain where this was found, Croagh Patrick, is famous as Ireland's holy mountain, where it's patron saint, Patrick, is said to have fasted and prayed. St. Patrick's pocket was a small area of porous quartz where sulfide (likely pyrite) had long ago oxidised and washed out, leaving the Gold. This is considered an exceptionally rich specimen from the find. The Gold is approximately 85% gold and 15% silver. Ex. Tim Sherburn collection.

MK183 - Cerussite (R) Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico miniature - 4 x 1.8 x 1.3 cm Thick, transparent colorless Cerussite crystals, shocking in size and quality for the locality. This is from a recent find and look more like something you would see from Tsumeb than any I've ever seen from the Ojuela Mine. The specimen is composed of a large single crystal with a smaller V-twin attached. Unfortunately while photographing, the small V-twin detached from the main crystal and I had to therefore reattach it (the smaller crystal fits perfectly into an angular groove on the larger crystal like a puzzle piece).
