ST167 - Vesuvianite $ 125 (=~ £ 100) Tunnel 36, Portola, Plumas Co., California, USA miniature - 3.3 x 3 x 2.7 cm Lustrous, translucent rootbeer brown Vesuvianite crystals to 2cm on a solid matrix of massive Vesuvianite. A wonderful example of a California Vesuvianite and of higher quality than most from this locality.
ST359 - Zircon $ 900 (=~ £ 720) Rweko, Nkasi District, Rukwa Region, Tanzania miniature - 4.5 x 1.8 x 1.5 cm Large, deep red complete Zircon crystal from Tanzania, much larger than typical for this locality. It has a steep pyramidal termination and is nicely transparent when backlit.
ST381 - Azurite $ 600 (=~ £ 480) Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico miniature - 3.2 x 3 x 2.5 cm A 2.8cm double-terminated Azurite crystal sits perfectly for display atop a small amount of matrix. Complete and undamaged with glassy faces all around and a few smaller crystal scattered around the base. Excellent miniature.
M887 - Ilvaite $ 200 (=~ £ 160) Huanggang Mine, Inner Mongolia, China miniature - 4.5 x 3.5 x 3.5 cm Large, thick glossy black Ilvaite crystal, complete all around and undamaged. These new Huanggang Ilvaites are superb and easily some of the world's best for species.
ST401 - Diopside $ 500 (=~ £ 400) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 4.9 x 4 x 2 cm Cluster of large, gemmy Diopsde crystals from the Merelani Tanzanite mines. The main crystal is 4.4cm and double-terminated.
ST406 - Apatite $ 240 (=~ £ 192) Cerro de Mercado, Durango, Mexico miniature - 5 x 4 x 3.5 cm Gem quality yellow Apatite crystal in matrix from the well know Cerro de Mercado locality. Clean specimn that displays well. Uncommon on matrix and of this quality.
ST408 - Wulfenite $ 450 (=~ £ 360) Los Lamentos, Chihuahua, Mexico miniature - 3.5 x 3 x 1 cm Large, transparent single Wulfenite crystal with attached white Hydrozincite. It has a cleave along one edge (that is not distracting) otherwise it's pristine. Displays equally well from either side and has a small attached Lucite stand. Choice old classic.
ST410 - Celestite $ 500 (=~ £ 400) Salem, Washington Co., Indiana, USA miniature - 5 x 5 x 3.2 cm Superb example of blue Celestite from the quarrys near Salem, Indiana. Well crystallized all around with areas of transparency and highly glassy. An undamaged beauty.
ST433 - Emerald $ 650 (=~ £ 520) Salzburg, Austria miniature - 4.2 x 3 x 1.5 cm A 1.4cm Emerald in a dark schist matrix. The Emerald has great medium green color and lots of transparency.
ST442 - Tetrahedrite $ 450 (=~ £ 360) Casapalca Mine, Huarochirà Province, Lima, Peru miniature - 3.2 x 3 x 1.8 cm Lustrous, sharp, dark metallic-gray tetrahedrite with small amounts of attached Pyrite from Casaplaca, one of the premiere localities for the species. The main crystal is large sized at 3cm and the cluster as a whole is very aesthetic.
ST549 - Quartz Scepter $ 200 (=~ £ 160) Chibuku Mine, Chiredzi mining district, Masvingo, Zimbabwe miniature - 4.5 x 2.5 x 2.3 cm Smokey and Amethyst scepter with red Hematite inclusions on a colorless Quartz stem. High quality, complete crystal hand selected from hundreds.
ST556 - Quartz Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 4.8 x 2.5 x 2 cm Thick, double-terminated Quartz crystal with a smaller single crystal rising up off one side. This crystal has a lot of character and reminds me a submarine for some reason. Complete all around and undamaged. Found at the Merelani Tanzanite mines.
ST589 - Arsenopyrite, Quartz, Stannite $ 250 (=~ £ 200) Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China miniature - 3.7 x 3 x 2.1 cm Undamaged specimen of a transparent Quartz crystal and mica atop a bright, metallic cluster of Arsenopyrite crystals over a matrix of Stannite. Attractive, showy miniature.
ST646 - Cassiterite $ 280 (=~ £ 224) Huanuni, Oruro, Bolivia miniature - 3.2 x 3 x 2.7 cm Elongated black Cassiterite crystals to 1.7cm associated with Quartz crystals. This elongated form is uncommon for Cassiterite and these are perfect undamaged crystals. Ex. Erich Laskowski collection.
ST647 - Klebelsbergite on Stibnite $ 180 (=~ £ 144) Pereta Mine, Scansane, Grosseto Prov., Tuscany, Italy miniature - 4.5 x 4.5 x 2.5 cm Sprays of white acicular Klebelsbergite on Stibnite. Associated minerals include Valentinite, Sulfur, and Stibconite. Ex. Erich Laskowski collection.
