J395 - Prehnite $ 500 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 3.2 x 2.8 x 2.5 cm Merelani Prehnite is considered by many, including me, to be the best in the world, and what has been produced in the last year or two has been the best. This beautiful specimen is a perfect example of this quality. Large translucent crystals with good yellow color in a somewhat flower-like rosette formation. It's undamaged and formed atop a (now gone) Tanzanite crystal and only tiny bits of Tanzanite remain on the base.
J382 - Fluorite and Quartz on Hematite $ 300 Egremont, Cumbria, England miniature - 5 x 4.5 x 2 cm Red Hematite matrix with typical black Hematite crystals (both sides) and Quartz crystals (one side). What is uncommon is the presence of Fluorite crystals which occur as transparent cubes of about 3mm.

C694 - Dolomite with Hematite $ 950 Brumado Mine, Bahia, Brazil miniature - 4 x 3 x 2.5 cm Water clear Dolomite crystal with included and attached silvery blades of Hematite. The Brumado mine is best known for Uvite and Magnesite but also produces other really interesting pieces such as pink Topaz, Emeralds, and superb Dolomite. The large Dolomite is twinned and tabular, with the smaller crytals at the base a mixture of both untwinned rhombs and tabular twins. Showy and lustrous, complete all around. The right side is smooth and lustrous but appears to be a cleavage face. Comes mounted on a Lucite stand. Unusual, aesthetic specimen!
C704 - Clinoatacamite with Calcite $ 1250 Lily Mine, Ica Department, Peru miniature - 5 x 3.5 x 3 cm Large and especially fine quality Clinoatacamite crystals with white Calcite over a layer of Malachite. These are regarded as the world's best Clinoatacamite specimens, and this is a good one. The crystals are all pristine. They were protected by a layer of Selenite that I dissolved away, leaving these perfect crystals. Individual crystals reach 1.3cm wide. The Lily Mine is now closed.
J571 - Azurite $ 350 Shi Lu Copper Mine, Guangdong Province, China miniature - 4.5 x 4 x 3.5 cm Fine floater cluster of Azurite crystals with a good, bright blue color (not too dark or black). Complete all around and undamaged.

The Schorl crystals are visible from both the front and back of the Quartz cluster. It comes with a very detailed Bob Trimingham label that notes an excellent provenance from some well-known collectors. No damage to any of the main crystals and only a minor amount of micro-chipping.
J474 - Pyromorphite $ 275 9 Level Jersey Vein, Bunker Hill Mine, Kellogg, Idaho miniature - 4.8 x 3.5 x 1.4 cm Some of the finest known examples of Pyromorphite came from The Bunker Hill Mine. Specimens were collected in a multitude of colors, mainly within the orange, yellow, and green spectrum. This example shows botryoidal crystals with both orange and yellow-green color and high luster. No damage other than at the edges, essentially solid Pyromorphite. Ex. John Barlow Collection.

The specimen is solid Brucite well crystallized all around and undamaged. It's a 360 degree 'pinwheel' formation on a small amount of matrix. This example is nearly a floater because the matrix is partially covered by a thin layer of lighter colored Brucite. It is translucent, thick and sturdy, and undamaged.
