J225 - Spessartine $ 65 (=~ AUS$ 99) Nigeria thumbnail - 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.4 cm Faceted Spessartine gemstone. A 5mm round weighing 0.75 carats. Good orange color.
J999 - Celestite on Sulfur $ 80 (=~ AUS$ 122) Floristella Mine, Enna Province, Sicily, Italy thumbnail - 3 x 2.5 x 1.8 cm White Clestite crystals on Sulfur. Main crystal is 2cm and double-terminated. Undamaged specimen.
K268 - Epidote $ 90 (=~ AUS$ 137) Rehoboth, Namibia thumbnail - 2.5 x 2.5 x 1.8 cm Bright, glassy Epidote crystals from a less commonly seen locality. Translucent to transparent crystals.
K661 - Gaudefroyite $ 100 (=~ AUS$ 152) Wessels Mine, Cape Prov., South Africa thumbnail - 0.9 x 0.7 x 0.5 cm Stout single crystal. Well terminated, larger than most.
M235 - Wulfenite $ 90 (=~ AUS$ 137) Los Lamentos, Chihuahua, Mexico thumbnail - 2 x 1.5 x 1 cm Cluster of blocky, dipyramidal Wulfenite crystals. Mounted in a Perky box.
M328 - Olivenite $ 95 (=~ AUS$ 145) Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 6 x 4 x 2.5 cm Heavy metallic matrix filled with Olivenite crystal lined vugs. Small spheres of Malachite are present on the Olivenite crystals. Comes with an old Mathiasen Minerals label.
M333 - Galena on Calcite stalactite $ 90 (=~ AUS$ 137) Mid Continent Mine, Treece, Kansas, USA small cabinet - 6.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 cm Stalactitic formation of yellow/orange Calcite sprinkled with Galena crystals. Both ends are broken showing the Calcite crystals structure.
M413 - Copper $ 90 (=~ AUS$ 137) Dzezkazgan, Kazakhstan small cabinet - 6.5 x 2.3 x 0.9 cm Elongated groups of Copper crystals. Good patina and well crystallized all around.
M559 - Galena Sweetwater Mine, Reynolds Co., Missouri, USA thumbnail - 2.5 x 2.5 x 2 cm Though 'just' a Galena, it's a very good thumbnail specimen featuring a mirror lustrous 1.5cm Galena cube set in Galena and Pyrite. Undamaged and displays well.
M894 - Ilvaite $ 75 (=~ AUS$ 114) Huanggang Mine, Inner Mongolia, China thumbnail - 3 x 1.4 x 1.2 cm Glossy single black Ilvaite crystal with typical chisel-shaped termination. Complete all around.
M852 - Tremolite $ 75 (=~ AUS$ 114) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.4 x 1.1 x 0.5 cm Terminated single Tremolite crystal with bright, vivid green coloration. Translucent to transparent, complete all around, with a flat, glassy termination. Most are mere shards or fragments and complete terminated crystals such as this are are much less common. Like a number of other mineral species from Merelani, these Tremolites are considered the world's best of species.
M949 - Tremolite $ 75 (=~ AUS$ 114) Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 1.7 x 0.9 x 0.3 cm Terminated single Tremolite crystal with bright, vivid green coloration. Translucent to transparent, complete all around, with flat, glassy termination faces. Most are mere shards or fragments and complete terminated crystals such as this are are much less common. Like a number of other mineral species from Merelani, these Tremolites are considered the world's best of species.
D462 - Quartz with inclusions $ 75 (=~ AUS$ 114) Jinkouhe District, Leshan, Sichuan, China thumbnail - 1.9 x 1.1 x 1 cm Black hydrocarbon inclusions inside a transparent, double-terminated Quartz crystal. Fine and undamaged. Prefessionally mounted in a perky box.
D661 - Mimetite with Calcite $ 80 (=~ AUS$ 122) Santa Eulalia, Chihuahua, Mexico miniature - 4.8 x 3.5 x 2 cm Specimen of yellow Mimetite with clear rhombs of Calcite. From a recent find in Santa Eulalia it's in a great condition with crystals on both sides.
