K797 - Spinel $ 225 Mahenge, Morogoro, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.5 x 2.3 x 1.8 cm Pink Spinel from Mahenge is world famous for incredible faceted gemstones and much of what is found is used for gems. This is an uncommon, nearly complete octahedral crystal with just a small amount of chipping on one tip, otherwise undamaged and lustrous all around. Weighs 13.37 grams.
K808 - Spinel $ 160 Mahenge, Morogoro, Tanzania thumbnail - 2 x 1.9 x 1 cm A 1.2cm pink Spinel on Calcite. The Spinel has great color and is translucent with transparent zones. Undamaged.

K781 - Pyrite $ 150 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 4.5 x 4.5 x 4 cm Large, complex single Pyrite crystal with high luster. The exotic crystal forms and high luster of Merelani Pyrite make it my favorite of any Pyrite found. There are two smaller attached crystals and it's contacted on the base, otherwise complete all around with just a few chips and great overall form and presentation.
K774 - Tsavorite $ 750 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania thumbnail - 2.6 x 2.3 x 1.8 cm Large single green Grossular var. Tsavorite with bevelled edges and high luster. Contacted at the bottom and all top faces undamaged.
K846 - Zircon $ 325 Mozambique miniature - 4 x 3.5 x 2.5 cm Large single Zircon crystal, complete all around and undamaged. These are fairly new and I've only seen a few of them so far. Weighs 78 grams.
K527 - Spessartine $ 650 Nani, Loliondo, Tanzania thumbnail - 3 x 3 x 3 cm Complete 'citrus' orange Spessartine crystal from old finds in Tanzania. These were mostly found as partial or damaged crystals with perfect complete crystals such as this much less common. Equant form with very minimal edge wear, otherwise no damage. There are a few small areas of black Braunite inclusions, otherwise it's nothing but gemmy orange. These were often cut up into spectacular gemstones, and this one could cut a number of small gems.
AB108 - Smithsonite $ 650 Broken Hill Mine, Kabwe, Zambia miniature - 5 x 3.5 x 2.2 cm Two large, double-terminated Smithsonite crystals that display dramatically on matrix. This locality is not known for volumes of specimens but I have seen the occasional really interesting specimen from here over the years and this counts as one of them. The largest Smithsonite is 3.6cm wide and the specimen displays well from either side. There are unfortunately small cleaves on the tip of each crystal, but they don't ditract that much, especially when considering the rarity of the piece and the overall visual impact.
AB113 - Tanzanite $ 3000 Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania miniature - 4 x 2.2 x 0.7 cm Stunning bi-color Tanzanite crystal of yellow over vivid purple/blue. This crystal has superb luster and unusually uniform shape, retaining an even 7mm thickness all the way from the base to the termination. There are two chips, including one on the back termination, but the sheer pizzaz and dramatic coloration greatly overcomes it, it's that pretty and unique. The best bi-color Tanzanite I've ever had. Weighs 13 grams.
K965 - Rhodochrosite $ 2800 N'Chwanning Mine, Kuruman, South Africa miniature - 3.8 x 3 x 2 cm Crystals of translucent Rhodochroiste over a small bit of Manganite matrix. Undamaged.
M296 - Descloizite Berg Aukas, Grootfontein, Namibia miniature - 3.8 x 3 x 2.5 cm Aesthetic cluster of translucent reddish brown Descloizite. Crystallized all around with no significant damage. From an old collection built in the 1970s and 80s. Was part of the collectors display and comes with a small display label, along with an old Harry Sering label. Both labels retain the pre-1990 country name of Southwest Africa.
M326 - Mottramite on/in Calcite $ 150 Tsumeb, Namibia miniature - 4.2 x 3.7 x 3 cm Cluster of rhombic and lenticular Calcite crystals heavily included with green Mottramite that also protrudes out the Calcite. Good all around. One of my favorite types of Tsumeb specimens. Comes with an old Lesnicks label.
M328 - Olivenite $ 95 Tsumeb, Namibia small cabinet - 6 x 4 x 2.5 cm Heavy metallic matrix filled with Olivenite crystal lined vugs. Small spheres of Malachite are present on the Olivenite crystals. Comes with an old Mathiasen Minerals label.
M388 - Copper with Calcite, Cerussite $ 150 Tsumeb, Namibia miniature - 4 x 3.5 x 3.5 cm Black rock matrix (with included crystals of an unidentified species) with white Rhombic Calcite crystals (old Fraziers label inidcates the Calcite is fluorescent). Copper runs throughout the specimen, and is exposed in the central vug area, along with a small cluster of transparent Cerussite crystals.
M389 - Copper $ 240 Mufulria Mine, Mufulria, Zambia small cabinet - 5.7 x 3.5 x 1.5 cm Thick and sturdy specimen of Copper crystals. There are areas of trnaslucent white Calcite attached and bright, untarnished Copper is visible beneath.
