Intergrown, diverging Tanzanite crystals. The crystals themselves are perfect, both gemmy with great luster and undamaged. The formation is spectacular in aesthetics and, I am told, in rarity, with only a dozen or so of this type known and the only other one like this I have seen was repaired down the middle. There is a small ding on the backside of the termination, but regardless, this is one heck of a nice crystal with great luster and color, uniform shape and the nice association with the Prehnite. Illustrated in the Sept.-Oct. 2009 issue of the Mineralogical Record (Figure 84, page 386). 3.3 x 0.9 x 0.7 cm.
