Silver crystals on a Safflorite matrix that have been exposed from white Calcite. Cubic Silver crystals are uncommon and these are superbly formed, sharp cubes of about 2.5mm in size. The crystals are well distributed both on the matrix and within some remaining white Calcite.

Clusters of cubic Silver crystals on matrix that have been exposed from white Calcite. Cubic Silver crystals are uncommon and these are superbly formed, sharp cubes of about 2.5mm in size. The crystal clusters are present between a Safflorite matrix on one side and Quartz crystals on the other.

Crystals of rare Liroconite well protected in a shallow vug. The color ranges from intense blue crystalline Liroconite on front to more greenish blue crystals in the vug. Liroconite is a rare copper species with the best specimens found at this mine, which is also the type locality for the species. Wheal Gorland began operation in 1792 and the best Liroconite specimens were found in the mid 1800s. The combination of rarity and beauty keep these in high demand and they are only rarely available for sale, usually when an old collection is recycled.

Perfectly formed crystals of Pyrosmaltite on matrix. The crystals reach 8mm in size and are complete and nearly pristine with just one tiny edge nick. A rarity.

Multi-colored Tanzanite crystal with a yellow over purple/blue color displayed from the front wide face. A red color is visible up the C-axis, and you can even see flashes of red reflected out the front face when lit from below (last photo). Complete and undamaged and weighs 6.87 grams.

Cluster of large, wafer-like crystals of Wulfenite typical for this mine. The crystals are translucent and reach 3.5cm in size and have coatings of Calcite crystals on the backsides. This is from a collection from the 1980s and 1990s time frame and had an old label showing a price of $800.

An old classic Tsumeb specimen of green Bayldonite on or partially pseudomorphing elongated, hexagonal Mimetite crystals. These were found in the 1st oxidation zone that dates to the late 1800s to early 1900s.
