CT567 - Chambersite $ 120 (=~ AUS$ 158) Venice Salt Dome, Lousiana, USA thumbnail - 0.6 x 0.5 x 0.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Complete tetrahedron of Chambersite, a rare mineral found in salt formations in a small number of localities worldwide. There is damage along one edge, otherwise it's perfect with a dark purple color. This locality is on a narrow strip of land that extends out into the Gulf of Mexico to the southeast of New Orleans in an area that was severely damaged by Hurricane Katrina.
