There is a little contact on the large crystal from opposing wall rock. There are lots more Liroconite crystals too in various areas of the specimen. Liroconite is a rare copper species with the best specimens found at this mine, which is also the type locality for the species. Wheal Gorland began operation in 1792 and the best Liroconite specimens were found in the mid 1800s. The combination of rarity and beauty keep these in high demand and they are only rarely available for sale. Ex. Bob Reynolds collection.
