Bob Reynolds was a curator of Earth Sciences at the San Bernardino Co. museum. He was an avid field collector, led mineral symposiums, performed geologic studies and mapping of the Mohave desert, and even had a mineral named after him (Reynoldsite). LL1100 - Morganite, Schorl, Spessartine $ 750 (=~ € 616) Little 3 Mine, Ramona, San Diego Co., California, USA small cabinet - 6.5 x 5.5 x 4.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() A mound of white Albite crystals hosting a 3cm elongated Morganite crystal, a thick 3.5cm Schorl, and an 8mm Spessartine. The Spessartine grew between two crystals and has a couple flat sides, but it is gemmy with that famous citrus orange color. The Morganite has been reattached to the matrix.
