Specimen of banded Malachite and Azurite cut and polished on both sides and also has a vug of crystallized Azurite in the front face and crystals of Azurite all along the edges. LL453 - Tourmaline with Quartz $ 350 (=~ CAN$ 480) SOLD

Tourmaline from the Urubu Mine are typically green and not particularly exciting on their own, but the strange pseudomorphs that were found here are fantastic. This specimen started as a single green Tourmaline encased in Lepidolite and Albite and later partially pseudomorphed to Quartz, starting from the inside, with an outer 'rind' of green Tourmaline remaining surrounding the Quartz core. The top of the Quartz core formed into a slightly hoppered, double-terminated crystal. Weird and fabulous!!
