Thick rhombs of red Rhodochrosite with attached Leifite (white) and aegerine (black). This is from an August 8, 2015 find that produced a small number of crystals tht are unusually thick for Mont St. Hilaire. We are more accustomed to seeing small wafer-like, twin Rhodo crystals from here, rather than these large, thick crystals. Main crystal is 4cm wide. Undamaged (stepped growth on some corners) with some etched areas, mostly on the backside. Floater specimen with no points of attachment.
