LL116 - Smithsonite $ 900 (=~ AUS$ 1372) SOLD Laurium, Greece miniature - 5 x 4.2 x 3 cm Blue botryoidal Smithsonite in multiple vugs. Old specimes that comes with a few old labels including a Jean Behier label that notes that he acquired it from the Letellier collection.
LL117 - Acanthite $ 750 (=~ AUS$ 1144) Hongda Mine, Xiaoqinggou Ag-Mn deposit, Lingqiu County, Datong, Shanxi, China miniature - 3.7 x 2.9 x 1.1 cm Steel gray Acanthite crystal showing good crystal structure on both sides.
LL111 - Scorodite $ 1500 (=~ AUS$ 2287) SOLD Kiura mine, Saiki City, Oita Prefecture, Japan miniature - 4.7 x 3.7 x 3 cm Shallow vug lined with beautiful, sparkling Scorodite crystals. Old specimen from a long closed locality. From MINDAT: Tin mining began in the 16th or 17th century. Pyrometasomatic ore produced by Miocene granitic intrusion into Paleozoic sedimentary rock. Famous for its large scorodite crystals, impossible to obtain now.
LL138 - Wulfenite $ 900 (=~ AUS$ 1372) Red Cloud Mine, La Paz Co., Arizona, USA small cabinet - 8 x 6 x 6 cm Beautiful glassy orange/red Wulfenite crystals well exposed and filling seams in the matrix. Loaded with crystals, this is a very showing display specimen. There are some damaged crystals, but many more perfect ones.
LL127 - Apatite $ 450 (=~ AUS$ 686) SOLD Fulford Pegmatite, Eagle Co., Colorado, USA miniature - 3.5 x 3 x 2.5 cm An excellent single Apatite crystal from a small finds in the Fulford mining district. These were never found in quantity and are rarely seen for sale. This is a translucent crystal (with gem areas), perfectly terminated, complete all around and undamaged.
LL104 - Smithsonite $ 450 (=~ AUS$ 686) SOLD Berg Aukus Mine, Grootfontein, Namibia miniature - 4.5 x 3.5 x 3 cm Yellow diamond shaped crystal characteristic for this locality. There are five good crystals on top to 2.7cm long, with a large 3.7cm double-terminated crystal forming the base. There is one cleavage on the right side, otherwise perfect all around.
LL143 - Dioptase $ 350 (=~ AUS$ 534) Ray Mine, Pinal Co., Arizona, USA miniature - 4.8 x 3.8 x 2 cm Drusy crystals of Dioptase with Chrysocolla on matrix. Excellent quality for the locality and the USA in general.
LL140 - Franklinite $ 250 (=~ AUS$ 381) Sterling Hill Mine, Franklin, New Jersey, USA small cabinet - 5.5 x 4 x 3.5 cm Octahedral crystals of Franklinite to 1.7cm on matrix. There are four good complete crystals exposed, with other partial crystals embedded in the matrix.
LL139 - Crocoite $ 950 (=~ AUS$ 1449) Berezovsk, Ural Mtns., Russia miniature - 4 x 3 x 3 cm Orange/red Crocoite crystals to 1cm in size on multiple sides of the specimen. Bereszovsk is the type locality for Crocoite and was first described from this mine way back in 1766. Uncommon specimen potentially hundreds of years old.
LL131 - Clinoclase $ 450 (=~ AUS$ 686) SOLD Majuba Hill Mine, Pershing Co. Nevada, USA small cabinet - 5.5 x 4.5 x 3 cm Deep blue Clinoclase crystals covering an area 3.5cm wide. I've collected at this mine and never found one this good!
LL136 - Pyromorphite $ 1500 (=~ AUS$ 2287) SOLD Wheatley Mine, Phoenixville, Chester Co., Pennsylvania, USA miniature - 4.5 x 4 x 4 cm Exceptional, 3-dimensional specimen of green Pyromorphite from this historic old Lead and Silver mine. In excellent condition, espcially considering this piece could date back to the 1800s. Comes with old Robert's Minerals and Hugh Ford labels, plus another much older partial label.
