LL107 - Legrandite $ 1500 SOLD Mina Oujela, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico small cabinet - 6.2 x 3.7 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Limonite matrix hosting multiple crystals of Legrandite. The two on front measure 1.5 and 2cm wide, both are terminated. The backside has two more crystal groups, including a 1.8cm radial group that could be further exposed and highlighted and become even better than the two on what is now considered the front of the specimen.

Old specimen from a long closed locality. From MINDAT: Tin mining began in the 16th or 17th century. Pyrometasomatic ore produced by Miocene granitic intrusion into Paleozoic sedimentary rock. Famous for its large scorodite crystals, impossible to obtain now.
LL138 - Wulfenite $ 900 Red Cloud Mine, La Paz Co., Arizona, USA small cabinet - 8 x 6 x 6 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Beautiful glassy orange/red Wulfenite crystals well exposed and filling seams in the matrix. Loaded with crystals, this is a very showing display specimen. There are some damaged crystals, but many more perfect ones.
LL127 - Apatite $ 450 Fulford Pegmatite, Eagle Co., Colorado, USA miniature - 3.5 x 3 x 2.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() An excellent single Apatite crystal from a small finds in the Fulford mining district. These were never found in quantity and are rarely seen for sale. This is a translucent crystal (with gem areas), perfectly terminated, complete all around and undamaged.
LL104 - Smithsonite $ 450 SOLD Berg Aukus Mine, Grootfontein, Namibia miniature - 4.5 x 3.5 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Yellow diamond shaped crystal characteristic for this locality. There are five good crystals on top to 2.7cm long, with a large 3.7cm double-terminated crystal forming the base. There is one cleavage on the right side, otherwise perfect all around.

LL140 - Franklinite $ 250 Sterling Hill Mine, Franklin, New Jersey, USA small cabinet - 5.5 x 4 x 3.5 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Octahedral crystals of Franklinite to 1.7cm on matrix. There are four good complete crystals exposed, with other partial crystals embedded in the matrix.
LL139 - Crocoite $ 650 Berezovsk, Ural Mtns., Russia miniature - 4 x 3 x 3 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Orange/red Crocoite crystals to 1cm in size on multiple sides of the specimen. Bereszovsk is the type locality for Crocoite and was first described from this mine way back in 1766. Uncommon specimen potentially hundreds of years old.

In excellent condition, espcially considering this piece could date back to the 1800s. Comes with old Robert's Minerals and Hugh Ford labels, plus another much older partial label.
LL132 - Pyromorphite $ 750 Wheatley Mine, Phoenixville, Chester Co., Pennsylvania, USA small cabinet - 9 x 6.5 x 2 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thin matrix covered on the front side by green Pyromorphite. A USA classic from a historic old Lead and Silver mine. In excellent condition, espcially considering this piece could date back to the 1800s. Comes with two old labels.
LL501 - Liroconite $ 2500 SOLD Wheal Gorland, St Day, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom miniature - 4 x 2.3 x 1.7 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A 2.5cm area covered by crystals along with a 1cm vug lined with intensely blue Liroconite crystals. The color is outstanding and varies from an intense teal blue to a more greenish blue. There are more small vugs of crystals on the sides and back too. Liroconite is a rare copper species with the best specimens found at this mine, which is also the type locality for the species. Wheal Gorland began operation in 1792 and the best Liroconite specimens were found in the mid 1800s.
