Large specimen of Descloizite crystals on matrix, one of the largest I've ever seen. The Desclozite has a light reddish brown color that is set off nicely by small white Calcite or Dolomite crystals that are present down close to the matrix giving it a certain overall 'brightness'. Very minor damage, especially for an old specimen of this size.

M701 - Bournonite $ 250 (=~ £ 180) SOLD
Machacamara District, Potosi Dept., Bolivia

Single 'cogwheel' of Bournonite from recent finds in Bolivia. Complete all around with just a small point of attachment on the bottom.

cabinet - 11.5 x 9 x 5 cm

Large specimen of solid Sphalerite coated by Chalcopyrite with attached crystals of Chalcopyrite. The entire front is colored golden by the Chalcopyrite and at first glance it's hard to tell where the sphalerite stops and the Chalcopyrite crystals start - it looks like solid Chalcopyrite crystals from the front.

M464 - Copper $ 290 (=~ £ 209) SOLD
White Pine Mine, Ontonagon Co., Michigan, USA

M449 - Ankerite on Mariposite $ 300 (=~ £ 216)
Carson Hill Gold Mine, Calaveras Co., California, USA
cabinet - 13 x 9 x 8 cm

Large specimen of Ankerite, a mineral similar to Dolomite, on green Mariposite. Quality large specimen with great crystals to over 2cm. Mariposite is a dolomitic marble included by chromium rich mica found in the foothills of California and was often an indicator of nearby Gold and gives this specimen the green coloration.

M450 - Wavellite $ 380 (=~ £ 273)
Montgomery Co., Arkansas, USA
large cabinet - 17.5 x 11 x 11 cm

(click on an image to enlarge)

Large specimen of Wavellite with crystal groups on the front, back, right faces. The main display face has well separated hemispheres of Wavellite to 1.2cm wide. I like the perfect rounded hemispheres on the front, but with Wavellite I also like the flat crystal groups that show the radial crystal structures, and this one has that style on the right face. So you get both styles in one specimen. Sawcut on bottom for a sturdy display.

M725 - Diopside $ 300 (=~ £ 216)
Badakshan, Afghanistan
small cabinet - 6.5 x 4.3 x 2.5 cm

Large single Diopside crystal. These are new to me, and I only saw a few at the Tucson show with one dealer. A nice medium green color, translucent with small trnasparent areas. Well crystallized all around with some crystals faces on the bottom too. Undamaged with a bit of attached white Feldspar.
