Transparent yellow Mimetite crystals on matrix from the famous 1971 gem pocket find at Tsumeb which produced what are considered the best of species Mimetite specimens. This specimen features 8 exceptionally glassy and transparent Mimetite crystals to 1.1cm in size. 7 of the 8 crystals are terminated with one crystal grown into the side of another. There are a couple areas of damage on the specimen, but affecting only 1 of the 8 crystals. Hard to find Tsumeb classic.

Two large, double-terminated Smithsonite crystals that display dramatically on matrix. This locality is not known for volumes of specimens but I have seen the occasional really interesting specimen from here over the years and this counts as one of them. The largest Smithsonite is 3.6cm wide and the specimen displays well from either side. There are unfortunately small cleaves on the tip of each crystal, but they don't ditract that much, especially when considering the rarity of the piece and the overall visual impact.

Good sized pink Tanzanite crystal, one of the largest I've seen. Pinks are uncommon and this one is unique with a dark blue phantom line dividing the pink zone on top and a more purple/pink zone below. There is a chip on a back edge, but the termination is good and it can be displayed from the front undamaged. A beautiful and uncommon Tanzanite. Weighs 21.1 grams.

AB113 - Tanzanite $ 3000 (=~ £ 2399)
Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania
miniature - 4 x 2.2 x 0.7 cm

Stunning bi-color Tanzanite crystal of yellow over vivid purple/blue. This crystal has superb luster and unusually uniform shape, retaining an even 7mm thickness all the way from the base to the termination. There are two chips, including one on the back termination, but the sheer pizzaz and dramatic coloration greatly overcomes it, it's that pretty and unique. The best bi-color Tanzanite I've ever had. Weighs 13 grams.

AB114 - Tanzanite $ 2800 (=~ £ 2239) SOLD
