Stunningly attractive specimen of transparent Quartz with bright, brassy Chalcopyrite crystals. These are fairly common minerals, but in a combination and form to produce this beauty. Both minerals are evenly distributed and in good condition with just a few missing Quartz crystals. The Quartz are uniform in size and transparent. An overall very bright and showy specimen.

Mirro bright and lustrous Pyrite cubes on a matrix of solid crystalline Pyrite. Associated are green Quartz crystals and traces of purple Fluorite. The Shangbao Mine is well know for fabulous Pyrite specimens andthis one does not dissappoint, with cubes to 2cm on edge.

Individual spheres of yellow Prehnite grown in and around flat crystals of white Calcite. This is one of the most beautiful Merelani Prehnites I've ever seen. A fibrous blue Tanzanite and small white crystals (Laumontite?) are attached to the backside. A floater with no points of attachment and little to no damage.

K233 - Prehnite $ 280

miniature - 3.5 x 3.5 x 3.5 cm

This is a very interesting Prehnite composed of an almost perfect sphere of solid Prehnite, like a translucent gumdrop, with larger crystals growing out of the sphere in various directions.

K234 - Prehnite $ 750
Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania
small cabinet - 5.5 x 5 x 4.5 cm

Spherical, mound-shaped Prehnite with large, chunky crystals. This is a very good one in terms of form, size, color, and quality. Nearly pristine with just a couple minor nicked crystal tips.

K237 - Prehnite with Tanzanite $ 750
Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania
small cabinet - 6 x 5 x 3.5 cm

Solid, translucent yellow Prehnite with large, chunky crystals. This is a very good one with a little contacting on the left edge and a partial Tanzanite attached near the base, but the entire front display face is perfect undamaged large crystals. This grew against the flat surface of a large Calcite crystal and the backside is flat and smooth.

K238 - Prehnite $ 450
Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania
small cabinet - 8.5 x 5.5 x 2.5 cm

Prehnite from Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania [db_pics/pics/K238a.jpg] Prehnite from Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania [db_pics/pics/K238b.jpg] Prehnite from Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania [db_pics/pics/K238c.jpg] Prehnite from Merelani Hills, Arusha, Tanzania [db_pics/pics/K238d.jpg]

Translucent blue/green Prehnite crystals with both a color and form new with these late 2018 finds of Prehnite from Merelani. These recent Prehnite have rounded orb formations that morph out into flat bladed crystals. The color, a blue/green/yellow is also a little different than I've seen before in Merelani Prehnites. Undamaged.

Large, gemmy Tsavorite crystals on a matrix of solid Graphite. The Tsavorite have good color and transparency and reach 1cm in size. There is a bit of chipping which keeps the price much lower than it would otherwise be. Regardless, it displays well with good color and crystal size.

Blue Azurite crystals atop a thin plate of Malachite. Despite the tons of Malachite that pour out of Katanga every year, Azurite from the Congo remains rare. Good blocky crystals that contrast well against the Malachite.
