J648 - Legrandite $ 225 (=~ £ 180) SOLD Mina Oujela, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico thumbnail - 1.7 x 1 x 0.8 cm Spray formation of golden Legrandite crystals. Good all around, rare.
J743 - Chalcocite $ 180 (=~ £ 144) SOLD Flambeau Mine, Ladysmith, Wisconsin, USA thumbnail - 2.2 x 2 x 1.5 cm Cluster of well formed Chalcocite crystals with an irridecent blue patina. Undamaged and complete all around. Beautiful thumbnail specimen from this long closed locality that has produced some of my favorite chalcocite specimens.

Stannite is a rare sulfide of copper, iron, and tin. Zinc commonly occurs with the iron and trace germanium may be present. Slightly irridescent.

J755 - Pyrargyrite $ 450 (=~ £ 360) Peru thumbnail - 2 x 1.5 x 1.5 cm Cluster of dark red Pyrargyrite crystals. Main crystal is complete and 1.8cm wide.
J770 - Fluorite on Quartz $ 450 (=~ £ 360) SOLD China cabinet - 11 x 9 x 4 cm Translucent green octahedrons of Fluorite on a Quartz crystal coated matrix. This is a floater well crystallized on all sides with no points of contact. In exceelent condition with damage to one crystal on the back and a small cleave on one crystal visible from the front, otherwise all are perfect, including the Quartz.

Beautiful transition of color with transparent green crystals showing light purple edges. Very good condition all around other than a couple of minor chips here and there.
J611 - Pyrargyrite with Pyrite $ 200 (=~ £ 160) Uchuchacua Mine, Peru small cabinet - 5.5 x 5.2 x 5.0 cm Rich Pyrargyrite specimen with numerous clusters of well-defined crystals scattered throughout the sulfide matrix. Other species in association include Pyrite, Quartz, and Calcite.
J551 - Franckeite $ 150 (=~ £ 120) SOLD San Jose Mine, Cercado Province, Oruro City, Oruro Dept., Bolivia miniature - 4.6 x 4.3 x 2.3 cm Radiating needles of Franckeite crystals intergrown into a large, massive specimen. Franckeite is a rare sulfosalt consisting of lead, tin, iron, and antimony. An excellent example with fine radiating crystals.
J546 - Franckeite (Var: PotosÃite) with Franckeite $ 140 (=~ £ 112) SOLD San Jose Mine, Cercado Province, Oruro City, Oruro Dept., Bolivia miniature - 3.8 x 3.1 x 2.5 cm A fine example of the rare sulfosalt species, Franckeite, with radiating spear-shaped crystals and what was formerly known as Potosiite (now discredited). Potosiite is the variety of Franckeite that is tin-poor in its chemistry with crystals more tabular in shape. A rare specimen.
J589 - Vesuvianite $ 225 (=~ £ 180) SOLD Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Quebec, Canada miniature - 4.0 x 2.8 x 2.6 cm A good sized matrix Vesuvianite specimen, one of the best color combination examples for this type. The matrix is purple mangan Vesuvianite covered by an outer layer of yellow/green Vesuvianite crystals. Largest single crystal in the group is just over 2cm in length. The mine is now closed.
