Divergent sprays of Azurite crystals on a bit of white matrix. These are the uncommon GEM Azurites from Tsumeb that show great color and transparency when backlit.  Good pointed termination on most crystals.  A few crystals have ragged, unterminated ends but these are natural and not damaged. A rare old treasure.

J682 - Olivenite $ 1800 (=~ £ 1295) SOLD
Tsumeb, Namibia
miniature - 4.8 x 3 x 2.4 cm

Olivenite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/J682a.jpg] Olivenite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/J682b.jpg] Olivenite from Tsumeb, Namibia [db_pics/pics/J682c.jpg]

There is also a partial psuedomorph of Malachite after Azurite and Azurite crystals in the center. Individual Olivenite crystals reach over 1cm long and 5mm wide across the chisel terminations. This specimen holds it own with any Tsumeb Olivenite pictured on Mindat or in the Tsumeb II book. One heck of an impressive Olivenite!!

Translucent yellow Wulfenite crystals with yellow Mimetite crystals on a Dolomite matrix. The Wulfenites densly cover one side and are also present along the edges of the backside. They exhibit both lustrous surfaces and sugary frosted surfaces. Well crystallized all around, it's nearly a floater with just a few points of contact.
