Attractive and classic Yaogangxian specimen consisting of a large double-terminated Quarz crystal, cubic purple Fluorite, yellow/green Mica, and tan Scheelite crystals. It's nearly a floater with a small point of contact at the base, otherwise complete all around and undamaged.

Large, solid radial mass of Brucite on matrix. This is an uncommon example well crystallized all around, characteristic of open pocket growth and not growth in tight, contacted seams as are most. Translucent, thick and sturdy. Undamaged.

Translucent purple Vivianite crystals to 3cm on a white Quartz matrix. These are old USA classics found in the 1960s and only turn up as old collections get dispersed. To my knowledge they are the only purple Vivianites found anywhere.

Lustrous metallic, bronze-colored crystals of Stannite. Yaogangxian Stannite is in my opinion the best in the world. This is a pristine cluster with mica atttached to the backside, with a point of contact at the base.

A fossil bivalve shell that has been completely replaced by pink Rhodochrosite. The shell is wonderfully preserved with both sides present and in perfect condition. One end has been cut to reveal the pink Rhodochrosite inside.The old iron mine where these were found is long closed and these are no longer being found. An undamaged, very well preserved example.

Two attached red Spinel crystals that contrast well agains the white matrix. These are transparent crystal, but with internal fracturing. Good color and luster and dispays perfectly from the front, with some contacting onthe backside.

6mm round Spessartine gemstone weighing 1.65 carats. The old label from 2003 calls it 'Mandarin Garnet' and shows of price of $100. Great color!
