Such yellow Prehnites have come from Merelani sporadically over the years, but never before in the quality that has been found in the last year. This specimen has big chunky crystals, a good one for the find.

Such yellow Prehnites have come from Merelani sporadically over the years, but never before in the quality that has been found in the last year. This specimen has big chunky crystals that stick out in various directions. Some chipping, but nearly a floater crystalled all around, a good one for the find.
SM505 - Platinum $ 100 SOLD Pinto River, Chocó Department, Colombia thumbnail - 0.7 x 0.5 x 0.3 cm River worn nugget of Platinum from the Pinto River, the type locality for Platinum. Weighs 0.9 grams. Platinum was first discovered here in the sixteenth century and its name derives from its silvery appearance and first source, being called 'platina del Pinto' or 'little silver of the Pinto River'.
