A collection of 10 minerals from the Bingham, New Mexico area. These specimens were sold as a suite during the Mineralogical Record benefit auction at the 1979 Tucson Gem and Mineral Show and have been in a private collection since that time, offered here for the first time since the 1979 auction. An old label indicating the minerals were donated by Scott Fadrowski and Bob Thompson of Renowned Minerals.
NMB - Barite with Fluorite $ 200 Mex Tex Mine, Bingham, New Mexico, USA small cabinet - 6.5 x 6 x 1 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Large single Barite crystal, translucent to transparent. Perfectly terminated and complete all around. There is a Fluorite crystal intergrown on the right edge, and there is a small cleave on part of the edge, possibly caused by the growth of the Fluorite crystal, otherwise undamaged.
