Good V twin formation along left side. Bob Trimingham's detailed label notes that Richard Bideaux believed this specimen was part of 'a large and famous European Collection'. An antique mineral specimen that Bob paid $125 for some 16 years ago. Great provenance.

If you view the specimen under magnification, there are at least two other species present with distinctly different microcrystals. Ex. Carl Acosta, Russel Jones collections.

This specimen is an outstanding example of the rare combinations of species coming out of China. It's a single, double-terminated Quartz crystal that has a dense coverage of Pyrite and discoidal Calcite crystals on the bottom with the top side having dozens of small octahedral, fluorescent blue (under SW UV light) Scheelite crystals mixed in with small Pyrite crystals. A wonderful combination and beautiful, especially when seen under shortwave ultraviolet light.
