C499 - Celestite $ 1200 (=~ € 1096) SOLD Sakoany deposit, Boeny Region, Mahajanga Province, Madagascar small cabinet - 8.5 x 6 x 6 cm Dramatic, gemmy blue crystals of Celestite with glassy luster. These are common as geodes, but it's difficult to get good undamaged specimens from the geodes and they are therefore uncommon. There is a flat lying 5cm crystal and the main vertical crystal rises 3.5cm above the others. All the crystals are undamaged and like transparent glass. Highly showy and bright.
C500 - Azurite with Malachite (R) $ 5000 (=~ € 4568) Christiana Mine, Lavrion District, Greece small cabinet - 6.5 x 5.5 x 4.5 cm Interconnected spherical clusters of Azurite with minor amounts of attached Malchite. This is a superb Greek Azurite specimen and was photographed in Lapis magazine. It is a floater specimen well crystallized all around and has one repair. Extraordinary color!
C501 - Andradite $ 450 (=~ € 411) SOLD Plan de Gallos, Piedra Parada, Las Vigas, Veracruz, Mexico small cabinet - 5.5 x 5 x 4 cm Yellow Andradite garnet crystals from recent finds in Veracruz. This specimen features a well centered, large central crystal of 2cm, which is good sized for the find. The top and front of the main crystal are perfect, with just a bit of damage on the backside that is hard to notice. There is another slightly larger crystal on the back of the specimen too.
C502 - Strontianite with Calcite $ 450 (=~ € 411) SOLD Rosiclare Level, Minerva #1 Mine, Cave-in-Rock, Hardin Co., Illinois, USA small cabinet - 8.5 x 5.5 x 5.5 cm Translucent, slightly pink acicular crystals of Strontianite. There are two main bundles of crystals with a couple more small clusters and some attached Calcite crystals at one end. Although there are some broken tips, it's in overall excellent condition and quite attractive.
C503 - Brazilianite with Muscovite $ 650 (=~ € 594) SOLD Linópolis, Divino das Laranjeiras, Minas Gerais, Brazil small cabinet - 7.5 x 7.0 x 6 cm Large cluster of numerous Brazilianite crystals intergrown with Muscovite. Good crystals all around, a floater with no points of attachment. Sits perfectly for display.
C504 - Fluorite on Quartz $ 350 (=~ € 320) SOLD Huanzala Mine, Peru small cabinet - 5.5 x 5.0 x 4 cm Colorless, transparent 2.5cm Fluorite octahedron perched atop a cluster of Quartz crystals. The Fluorite has stepped growth indentations into the crystal faces. A subtle beauty.
C505 - Copper $ 375 (=~ € 343) Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan, USA small cabinet - 6 x 4.5 x 1.6 cm Copper crystal cluster with a deep, rich patina. Good on both sides and undamaged.
C506 - Azurite $ 180 (=~ € 164) SOLD Mazapil, Conception del Oro, Zacatecas, Mexico miniature - 3.5 x 2.8 x 2.5 cm Clusters of elongated Azurite crystals on matrix. These are the transparent Azurite crystals Zacatecas is known for. Comes mounted on a Lucite base.
C507 - Quartz gwindel $ 400 (=~ € 365) SOLD Shalman Valley, Khyber Agency, Pakistan thumbnail - 3 x 3 x 1.5 cm Transparent, undamaged Quartz gwindel, good on both sides.
C508 - Grossular $ 245 (=~ € 224) SOLD Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Quebec, Canada thumbnail - 2.5 x 1.5 x 1.0 cm Cluster of gemmy crystals Grossular. Largest crystal is 1.4cm. Undamaged.
C509 - Platinum $ 120 (=~ € 110) SOLD Pinto River, Chocó Department, Colombia thumbnail - 0.9 x 0.5 x 0.3 cm River worn nugget of Platinum from the Pinto River, the type locality for Platinum. Weighs 0.8 grams.
C510 - Quartz over Wulfenite $ 500 (=~ € 457) SOLD M'fouati, Bouenza Department, Congo small cabinet - 8 x 6 x 4.5 cm Large orange Wulfenite crystals coated by a layer of drusy Quartz crystals. The Wulfenite crystals reach 2.5cm in size with some showing their orange color better than others.
C511 - Covellite with Pyrite $ 150 (=~ € 137) SOLD Leonard Mine, Butter, Montana small cabinet - 9 x 6.5 x 5 cm Foliated masses of bright, irridescent Covellite intergrown with Pyrite.
