The Rhodochrosite also covers parts of 2 sides, and the entire back surface. Comes with an old label indicating it was in the Ito collection. A couple small breaks on front, but the vast majority is perfect.

The Fluorite crystals are partially etched away. The Fluorites show the glassy, gemmy 'Carthage Corners' that Fluorite from this mine is noted for. A cluster of cream colored Barite adds accent. A chip on one Fluorite corner, otherwise undamaged.

There is contacting along the bottom edges where it detached from matrix, but the stack is pristine all around. These are almost always found flat against the matrix and such stacks of crystals are uncommon. They are also transparent like orange glass.

Another small vug filled with Sphaerosiderite on the backside too. This is from the Al McGuinness collection, and comes with Al's label plus 3 older labels (four total labels), plus another label affixed to the back of the specimen.

C345 - Silver with Calcite $ 800 (=~ ¥ 84784) Batopilas, Chihuahua, Mexico miniature - 4.7 x 4 x 1.0 cm ![]() ![]() ![]() Lattice-like crystals of Silver on Calcite. Longer spinel-twinned crystal rise up out of the Calcite, with smaller crystals filling in. This is out an old collection that looks like it was put together in the 1970s. The Silver has a natural dark patina that could easy be brightened up if desired.
