Spessartine crystals with superb surface luster in Galena. Main central Spessartine is 3.6cm wide. The combination of spessartine with galena only occurs at Broken Hill, New South Wales.

Good sized medium green Emerald crystal, complete all around. Although it may not be apparent from the photograph, this crystal is color zoned. The thin bands alternate between colorless and green and are perpendicular to the c-axis. The crystal is terminated on at least one end. Emerald from Torrington was found briefly during the late 1990’s and production was sparse. This crystal is much larger than most Torrington emerald crystals. This specimen would be a good addition to any collection of unusual gemological specimens.

Cuprite crystals to 1.2cm wide on Chrysocolla matrix. It was mined in 1989 with a relatively small number of other pieces. The cuprite crystal glows red when back lit. When front lit, the faces of the cuprite crystal display a metallic luster.

Bright red/orange Minium over matrix. Minium is lead tetraoxide and the color is intense and spectacular. Its genesis relates to oxidation of lead minerals during underground mine fires that occurred at Broken Hill.

This is a high quality “birds nest” of copper from an unusual locality. I've never such an interwoven mass of wires such as this. It would be a fine addition to many specialized native copper or native metal collection.

Flaoter cluster of rosettes of Azurite and Malachite relacing Azurite. This specimen is particularly clean and the 50:50 split of the blue and green is particularly pleasing. Complete all around and undamaged. This piece would be a good addition to any specialized worldwide azurite and/or malachite collection.

Incredibly colored, bright yellow crystals on matrix. The Ranger Mine is generally regarded as the world’s premier locality for saleeite. It was also recorded at Shinkolobwe, Katanga Province. Display specimens of saleeite from Katanga may be non-existent. This piece would be suitable for a collection of radioactive secondary species or rare species.

This is one of the finer specimens from this rare amethyst locality. The condition is very good and only one point of minor damage is present on this piece. Victoria Downs is one of Australia’s best localities for amethyst. This is a mound shaped specien with contact on the bottom and crystals all around the front, sides, and back. This piece would be a good addition to any specialized worldwide amethyst collection.

Glassy, transparent pale green Fluorite cubes on matrix. Individual crystals of Fluorite reach 4cm in largest dimension. Luina is the type locality for luinaite – a species that is diamorphic with schorl. This specimen would be suitable for some rare species collections. It would also be suitable for a collection of worldwide fluorite specimens with a bent towards crystallized fluorite from unusual localities.
